Remotely notarized documents
: The Clerk's sources conflict, so check before you rely on a remote notarization for a real property document here. Its Electronic Legal Documents page says that from January 1, 2020, remotely notarized documents are accepted for recording, with few exceptions, under Chapter Law 2019-71. But its eRecording business rules (revised August 2023) say the Clerk interprets Florida law to require all notarial acts on real property documents to be made in person, including electronic documents recorded electronically. The rules also say the Clerk doesn't look beyond the document to judge whether a notarial act is legally sufficient, and the submitter assumes the risk.

## What you'll need to record it

1. **The notarized document itself.** An online notarization produces an electronic document. Hillsborough County accepts electronic recording through CSC Corporation Service Company, e-Doc Solutions, eRecordings Partners Network, Indecomm Global Services, RecordNation (low volume), Simplifile, File and Go (Notices of Commencement), eRecordingUSA, Hopdox, Swift-E Recording Services, so a title company or eRecording vendor can usually submit the electronic file directly.
2. **Recording fees.** Fees are set by the county and state and change; check the current fee schedule on the [official Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller, Official Records (Recording) site](https://hillsclerk.com/propertyrecords-and-recording) before you submit.
3. **Any required state forms** for your document type (for example, transfer or property-tax forms for deeds). The county site lists what it requires.
4. **Confirmation the recipient accepts it.** The receiving office or party decides whether to accept a remotely notarized document. If unsure, call the office before your notary session.
