The cheapest online notary, by situation

For one signer and one seal, OnlineNotary.net lists the lowest price ($19.95), but only for US residents and not around the clock. Every 24/7 service we checked starts at $25, so the real difference is in the add-on fees: extra seals, extra signers, witnesses and page counts.

If you don't have a US Social Security number

The ID check is where prices can jump for people abroad or without an SSN:

If your document is USPS Form 1583 for a virtual mailbox, our Form 1583 guide covers the no-SSN route in detail.

Before you pay: three checks

  1. Count the seals and signers. These drive the price more than the headline rate. If you aren't sure how many seals your document needs, ask the provider's support before starting.
  2. Ask the recipient whether they accept online notarization. Proof's help center tells signers to check with whoever receives the document first.8
  3. Check your state's rules. Your state's online notarization law and fee cap are on its page in our state-by-state guide. A state fee cap limits what the notary may charge, but platforms may add their own fees on top; our Florida page has an example.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest online notary?

For a single signer and a single seal, OnlineNotary.net lists $19.95 per signer, the lowest headline price we found. It serves US residents only and lists daily hours of 10AM to 2AM rather than 24/7. Notarize, NotaryCam, OneNotary, BlueNotary and NotaryLive all list $25 for one signer and one seal.

Which online notary is cheapest for a document with several notary seals?

NotaryLive says it doesn't charge for additional seals, so a one-signer document with three seals is still $25 there. BlueNotary lists $8 per extra stamp ($41 for three), OnlineNotary.net $5 per extra stamp ($29.95), OneNotary $10 ($45), Notarize $15 ($55), and NotaryCam prices per seal ($75 if each seal is $25).

Which is cheapest with two signers?

BlueNotary and NotaryLive both list $5 per additional signer, so two signers on one seal comes to $30. Notarize, NotaryCam and OneNotary list $10 per extra signer ($35). OnlineNotary.net charges $19.95 per signer ($39.90).

Are there hidden fees?

The ones we found on public pages: NotaryCam lists a $79 fee when a signer has no US Social Security number; NotaryLive charges $5 per additional 25 pages after the first 25; and witnesses supplied by the platform cost $10 to $15 where a price is listed. State technology fees or taxes aren't included in these figures.
